Kalei C. LaFave
The United Way welcomes native and longtime resident Kalei C. LaFave as the President/CEO of United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties.  She has a vast range of knowledge, leadership skills and proven performance dealing with the public and business leaders in Cowlitz, Clark and Wahkiakum Counties.  She has one son, Kalani 18yrs. and one daughter, Maile 16 yrs. both are students at Mark Morris High School.  Kalei is a 1980 graduate of Robert A. Long High School.

Ms. LaFave’s work in the community has been as a City Council appointed Parks and Recreation two term board member, an EMT for Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue, a classified sign language interpreter for the hearing impaired, and a board position on Western Youth Baseball. Through these experiences, Ms. LaFave has demonstrated excellent decision-making skills, leadership and heartfelt compassion to those in need.

Kalei has worked as a Sales and Marketing Director for major hotel chains for many years. Her efforts have yielded success in new business development. Her community outreach and employment background are all benefits for her new position.

Stephanie Vossen
The United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties is thrilled to announce the new addition to the United Way team. Stephanie Vossen is our Executive Assistant among many other great contributions that she brings .  She moved to Kalama when she was 5 years old and still resides there today with her husband of 20 years, Dusty Vossen.  They have a 17 year old son Tanner who attends Kalama High School and daughter Natalie, 12 who is a student at Kalama Middle School.  Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in the Legal field as an administrative secretary and bookkeeper. Based on her knowledge she transitioned into owning her own company SRV Books.

Mrs. Vossen is a member of the Kalama Chamber of Commerce and acts as their secretary for her second year.  She owns and operates “Complete Physique Anytime” in Kalama. With cheer and enthusiasm she is the Kalama High School Cheer-leading Coordinator.  Stephanie loves spending time with her kids and being a part of their sports activities.
