Many local children don’t have access to books in their homes, and studies show that providing free books to children every month helps remove barriers to books, increases literacy rates, improves family engagement, and helps children prepare for kindergarten.

United Way of Cowlitz & Wahkiakum Counties is the proud program partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, providing free age-appropriate books to children every month from birth to age five.

Local children deserve a strong start in life, and investing in a child in their early years helps ensure they have the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Investing in children can make a difference in their lives and our entire community for generations to come.
