Advisory Committees

Join one of our Advisory Committees and make an Impact in our community!

Events: Help to plan, organize, and implement fundraising events to raise funds and increase community engagement.  Includes event planning, securing sponsorships, securing raffle & auction items, and identifying people to invite and attend events.

Fundraising: Help to expand the network of donors and people engaged in our work by utilizing personal networks, identifying outreach opportunities, connecting individuals with our organization, and helping with presentations and conversations with donors & organizations.  

Regional Committees:  Help to strengthen our work within each of the cities in our two counties by developing city-specific committees that each focus on identifying localized community needs, engaging community leaders and organizations, creating local partnerships, and attending events on behalf of United Way to increase awareness and engagement.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library: Identify opportunities, conduct outreach, and participate in events to increase child participation in the program and to expand our donor base to sustain the program.

Kindergarten Readiness Advisory Board: Assess community needs, identify opportunities, and provide guidance to support strategic efforts to improve kindergarten readiness in the community.  Representation from a wide variety of backgrounds is needed, including education, business, social services, and more.
